Smothered Pork Chops









4 pork chops, regarding 1/2" thick (I used bone-in chops)
my house seasoning (equal components garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper, store in AN airtight container)
2 T. bacon grease (or vegetable oil)
2 T. butter
1 massive onion, sliced 
4 T. all purpose flour
14 oz. chicken stock
splash of milk
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
pinch of salt
Season each side of the chops with the house seasoning. Heat the bacon grease over master's degree. high heat add within the chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per facet. take away the chops to a plate. Add the butter to the bacon grease and stir within the onions. cut back the warmth to medium and cook the onions for 5-6 minutes, until tender. Stir within the flour and cook for one minute. Stir within the chicken stock and splash of milk. still cook until gravy begins to thicken. Season with the garlic powder and salt. Add the pork chops back to the pan and cook for a further five minutes.
