Quinoa Burger Recipe




Ingredients:

2 rounded cups toasted quinoa 
3/4 cup sliced cheddar 
1/2 cup low-fat farm cheese
1 medium carrot, finely grated
3 eggs
3 tablespoons all purpose flour
2 inexperienced onions, together with white components
1 /2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Olive oil for cookery

Method:

1 cup raw quinoa
2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
In a medium pan bring the two cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil high heat. Add quinoa and scale back heat to low. cowl and cook for 18-20 minutes, or till all water is absorbed and therefore the seeds ar tender. enable to chill for some minutes.
In a giant bowl mix the two rounded cups of toasted quinoa, cheddar, farm cheese, carrot, eggs, flour, inexperienced onions, sugar, pepper, cumin, salt, and garlic powder.
(To facilitate them keep in patty type and not collapse, I cook them on med-low slowly in order that they have longer to set-up while not burning. Makes them easier to flip, too.) Heat a cooking pan and one or two teaspoons oil over medium-low heat. Mixture are slightly sticky, therefore employing a 1/4 cup cup, drop mixture into pan and gently flatten to 1/2 in. thick. Fry till golden-brown, regarding four minutes on both sides. Makes approx. 10 burgers.
