BREAD PUDDING RECIPE






Ingredients:

four cups (8 slices) cubed bread
1/2 cup raisins
a pair of cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2eggs, slightly crushed
one tablespoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Sauce:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed refined sugar
1/2 cup significant light whipping cream
one tablespoon vanilla

Directions:

Heat kitchen appliance to 350°F. mix bread and raisins in giant bowl. mix milk and 1/4 cup butter in 1-quart pan. Cook over medium heat till butter is liquified (4 to seven minutes). Pour milk mixture over bread; let stand ten minutes.
Stir all told remaining pudding ingredients. Pour into lubricated one 1/2-quart casserole. Bake for forty to fifty minutes or till set in center.

for Sauce:
Combine all sauce ingredients except vanilla in 1-quart pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, till mixture thickens and involves a full boil (5 to eight minutes). Stir in vanilla.
To serve, spoon heat pudding into individual sweet dishes; serve with sauce. Store cold.
